Milford interfaith service brings old foes together in peace | The New Haven Register

MILFORD — Not too long ago, Nour-adin Shehadah was a Palestinian Freedom Fighter who wanted to “kill every Jewish person in my land.”

At the Woodmont United Church of Christ Sunday, he held an Israeli flag, and draped his arm over the shoulders of former Israeli Army member Erez Krispin.

“I put religion to the side,” Shehadah said. “Now I see, on the other side (of the conflict) is a human.”

The men, both members of Combatants for Peace, said if they could come together in peace despite “extreme” circumstances, so can everyone else.
