Aug. 6 and 9 Hiroshima and Nagasaki commemorations in New Haven

CITY OF NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT
A   Peace Messenger City

New Haven Peace Commission invites everyone to stand together on the New Haven Green this August to commemorate the 67th Anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

We will come together at 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 6 for Hiroshima; at 11 a.m. on Aug. 9 for Nagasaki as we have for many years.

We have struggled together for 67 years for the total abolition of nuclear weapons. While the peoples of the world increasingly demand the abolition of this threat to life itself, this administration has allocated billions of dollars to modernize our nuclear arsenal.

We must continue to raise our voices. We must continue to demand that Congress refuse to allocate funds for manufacturing smaller and more powerful nuclear bombs.

Please join with us. Help us organize our protest!

Yours in Peace,

Alfred L. Marder, Chairman
