Fragile peace brings new hope for El Salvador | smh.com.au

‘Homicides in El Salvador are down 32 per cent in the first half of this year, kidnappings have fallen 50 per cent and extortion has declined nearly 10 per cent, says the Salvadorean security ministry, which attributes the drop largely to the truce.
