On April 17, the Environmental Protection Agency is set to finalize regulations that would reduce lung-burning smog and cancer-causing benzene from fracking and drilling. But the oil and gas industry is lobbying hard for loopholes that would dramatically weaken the rule—and they’re taking their fight straight to the White House.
