Several thousand join march through Tripoli streets for peace | The Daily Star

Nearly 3,000 people took part in a rally calling for peace in Tripoli Sunday, where recurrent sectarian clashes have plagued the northern city for two years. Members of civil society groups, political figures and Tripoli residents gathered at the Rashid Karami Exhibition and marched to the Abu Ali Roundabout, a site of frequent sniper fire, and cried out slogans that admonished senseless fighting and war.
