March against killer drones, Nov. 15, Washington, D.C.

Join CODEPINK and allies for a day of anti-drone actions as we march from the White House to the offices of General Atomics, the largest manufacturer of the killer drones that circle over much of the world and have caused so much catastrophe, heartbreak and despair on the ground in places we are not at war with, like Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia– they have even been reported in the Philippines and Cote d’Ivoire! It’s an empire, and in an unchecked system of killing with impunity with no transparency, thousands of lost lives remain unacknowledged.

When: Starting at noon on Friday, Nov. 15, we will hold a protest outside the White House to challenge drone murder magistrate Obama, and will then proceed down the road to General Atomics and hold a vigil and die-in to bring light to the voices of those that have suffered and whose stories the US government so ruthlessly erases. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, District.

Other key events:

This action kicks off a weekend of events surrounding the first International Drones Summit: Proliferation and Resistance, cosponsored by the Institute for Policy Studies, the Nation Magazine, and the National Lawyers Guild (Georgetown).
