Peace and Planet Mobilization this weekend | NAPF, others

Promoting Enduring Peace and Nuclear Age Peace Foundation and a number of other organizations are inviting activists to New York City this weekend, for the Peace and Planet Mobilization.

Nuclear abolition connects deeply with struggles to end and prevent wars, increase peace, and achieve economic and environmental justice in our local communities and around the world.

The mobilization begins with a conference on Friday and Saturday (April 24-25) at Cooper Union in Manhattan. Visit http://peacenews.org/peace-planet-ct for ticket and other important information about this event.

Among the many workshops being held during the conference, NAPF will be involved with one entitled “Small Islands, Big Threats: The Marshall Islands Tackle Nuclear Weapons and Climate Change.”

The plenary speakers and workshops are fantastic and inspiring, so I hope that you can attend.

Then, on Sunday (April 26), there will be a rally at Union Square starting at 1 p.m. After the rally, participants will march to Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, where there will be a Peace Festival from 3-6 pm.

The NAPF will have an information booth at the Peace Festival with lots of information on the Nuclear Zero Lawsuits. If you are there, please stop by our booth and say hello.
