Carol Urner and Ellen Thomas, co-chairs of the Women’s International League of Peace and Freedom will discuss the abolition of nuclear weapons, and H.R. 1976 — the only bill in Congress calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons, at the People’s Center, 37 Howe St., New Haven.

The bill also calls on funding the conversion of war industries into manufacturers of green products that will restore the environment and create clean energy.

Contact U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro at 202-225-3661 and urge her to support H.B. 1976. Or email delauro.ct03@mail.house.gov.
