EU financial pressure on Israel-Palestinian peace process boost or backfire? | RT Op-Edge

israeli-checkpointFunding cuts is the right tool to keep Israel in its original borders, European MP, Paul Murphy, told RT, while Israeli journalist, Gil Hoffman, argued it’ll be harder to get the Palestinians behind the negotiating tables once they’ve felt EU backing.

The European Union has moved to cut off all Israeli entities that operate in the disputed areas of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The measure comes as the EU attempts to pressure Israel to keep the Jewish state within its pre-1967 borders.
