PEP Membership to speak with ecologist Joel Kovel, Dec. 11, 2015

Membership to Promoting Enduring Peace has its benefits.

PEP was founded in 1952 as a US-based tax-exempt membership organization to conduct peace education and citizen diplomacy intended to counteract the forces then moving the world toward a global thermonuclear cataclysm.

So far PEP, our parent organization, has arranged for these conference calls:

Friday, Dec. 11 Joel Kovel, ecologist, former psychiatrist and professor, author of “The Enemy of Nature. The End of Capitalism or the End of the World?”

Promoting Enduring Peace, the group that awarded Tom Goldtooth the Gandhi Peace Award , will be sponsoring a conference call with Dr. Joel Kovel on Friday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.  He’ll speak for a few minutes with some thoughts about the Paris Climate conference and then we’ll spend the rest of the hour in discussion. The call is one of the “benefits” of membership in Promoting Enduring Peace.  You can join for a year for just $10. Join online by credit card or Pay Pal. Kovel was one of the first to warn about Global Warming in the late 1980’s.  He’s a big critic of so-called Green Capitalism and his latest book is called “The Enemy of Nature: The End of Capitalism or the End of the World?

In the future:

David Swanson, activist, blogger, author, http://www.warisacrime.org.
Professor J. Kehualani Kauanui, champion of rights for the indigeous, former diplomat/soldier and
Full-time peace activist Ann Wright
Bishop John Selders of Moral Mondays

and more to be announced.
